Meet the Team

  • Marilu Perez

    Marilu was born and raised in Guatemala. 17 years ago, she came to United States to find a better life for her children. Since she arrived here she has had the opportunity to work many different jobs, however, her passion has become connecting her community to much needed resources to help them thrive.

    When Marilu first arrived here she did not know many people and there were very few resources in Spanish to help her get settled in. Now that she is more established, she has made it her mission to connect others who are arriving to the United States with resources to help them thrive.

    Today, Marilu has over 8 years of experience as a resource navigator.

  • Leticia Ramirez

    Leticia was born in Ciudad de Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. Daughter of humble parents, she came to the United States with a dream of a better life. Shortly after arriving, she recognized that many people in the Mexican Immigrant community were struggling to survive in the US. It was because of this that she began volunteering with organizations in her community.

    Now she has over 15 years of experience following her passion, working in service of others in her community.

  • Marisol Valencia

    Marisol was born in raised in the State of Mexico, Mexico. When she arrived she quickly realized the power that information and resources can bring to individuals and communities. After observing this, she decided to become a community navigator, connecting community members to vital resources and information to help them succeed.

    For Marisol, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing community members leave a conversation with their questions answered, a smile on their face, and confidence in their step. Nothing brings her more joy than to bring power to others in her community.

    Marisol begun as volunteer doing navigation work over 15 years ago and has loved every minute of it since.

  • Rosa Marie Vergil Garcia

    Rosa is the founder and has been the executive director of Una Mano Una Esperanza, the non-profit that Mano a Mano was initiated by.

    She has worked as a victim advocate, family advocate and community navigator for over 30 years. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education, teaches parenting classes, provides counseling for drug and alcohol addiction, and facilitates group support meetings for survivors of domestic violence. She has 32 years of professional experience in presenting and training large communities within the hospitality and customer service industries.

    Rosa works to ensure that people of the Latino community receive the same ADA/VA rights and services that are granted all people living in Colorado.
